Accomplishments

• Developed and executed a successful Congressional lobbying strategy for local government resulting in over $13M in federal funding over a six-year period.
• Secured and managed over $7M in Congressional funds for a private health system in collaboration with the University of Louisville utilized to support new cancer treatment drugs using tobacco plant proteins.
• Secured $500,000 in state directed funds for a private health organization to assist in establishing inaugural medical residency programs.
• Developed and executed successful Kentucky General Assembly lobbying strategy resulting in $38M in state funding over a two-year period for a workforce innovation center to train the next general healthcare workforce.
• Co-leader in helping to secure over $80M in federal COVID relief funds allowing the health system to maintain a full work force with no reductions.
• Oversaw state and local planning and zoning regulations and permitting for construction of a $500M state-of-the-art replacement hospital, one of the largest in the southeastern US.
